God

The notion of god may be the most contentious subject I ever came across. I must admit that I used to believe in a colossal force when I was a kid & weak. Not that I’m very strong now, but I’m definitely not a kid anymore and slowly I realized that god is a figment of (y)our imagination, a frame of mind, a mind which always looks for simple & quick solutions for all our problems. GOD !! A very sensitive & obsessive subject. We don’t even want to discuss about it!! That’s the problem with god. The very contemplation of discussing about god frightens us out. Again, it’s like our private life. But in this case of god, most of us have a double standard. No sane parent will ask their kids to follow their private life. But the same parents don’t have any issue in telling their kids to follow their religious belief, their much loved almighty !! Keep it with you, dear parents. Keep it private, both. If you have certain 'interests' which is very private in nature and believe in a particular god, don’t tell your kid to follow the same. Let them learn it, I’m sure they will, and if they don’t like it, they will in due course find their own choice, which may be better or worse than your choice. But do you care? Probably not, well, you shouldn’t. Because it’s their life. They will learn, try various options and pick whatever they feel good for them. If they have the same 'interest' and pick your favorite god, you can be proud of your choices. Otherwise see whether a different orientation & god/religion bring you pleasure and peace of mind.
